My body is telling me that it's definitely time
to get my ass in bed and enjoy the goodie
goodies of sleep that will ensue. But
before I can do this I must first deliver the
content that all of you website visitors are
looking to find. For it has been far too
long since the last update and it's time I get
to work again.
The trip to
Cedar Point was haul ass, as always, and it was
so much fun to hang out with everyone from home
again. I only wish that I could take them
along on Coasterfest
next week. But it looks like I will be
meeting up with a few fellow enthusiasts on the
trip and that should prove to be some good
fun. The trip action is a much needed
thing at this point.
So finals are
this week and that just sucks. Wouldn't
school be so much more fun if there were no
finals to take at the end of the term?
People should be free to go out and celebrate
this event...not be tied to their rooms,
studying in an attempt to pass their huge ass
tests. I only have two myself and so I
shouldn't be complaining I suppose.
Three weeks
out side of this state is also going to be a
welcomed little thing. It's my good
friends back home that have taught me this nice
little song that runs through my head all too
often while here...
Ohhhhhhh!
We don't give a damn
'bout the whole state of Michigan.
The whole state of Michigan.
The whole state of Michigan.
We don't give a damn
'bout the whole state of Michigan.
'Cuz we're from Oh-high-oh!
We're
from Oh-high-oh! O! H!
We're from Oh-high-oh! I! O!
No we don't give a damn
bout the whole state of Michigan.
'Cuz we're from Oh-high-oh!
Hehe!
Yeah...practice that one up everyone!

The front page
was beginning to load rather slow and so I
decided to create some archives. I guess
the updating all the time is starting to catch
up with me. So yeah...the link to last
month is above.

Coasterfest
2001!
Yeah
buddy! That's right...the third annual
coaster trip will be in effect this year.
Just tonight I put in the hotel reservations and
confirmed meetings with everyone involved.
A week from tomorrow I will be living it up at
Hershey Park at this time. So anyway,
here's a rundown on the itinerary:
| June
20: |
Drive
to Hershey, PA, meet up with Dave
Johnson and hang at Hershey Park.
Spend the night at Dave's pad in Wind
Gap, PA. |
| June
21: |
Spend
the day riding at Dorney Park and meet
up with Dave again later in the day, then drive to Binghamton, NY and
spend the night there. |
| June
22: |
Make
the second half of the trip to Darien
Lake (about three hours) and spend the day at the
park. Night rides on Superman will
be in effect. Then stay over in
Buffalo, NY. |
| June
23: |
Drive
to Marineland and meet up with Iain at
the opening time. After that we
head back to Martin's Fantasy Island for
the rides there. The on up to
Innerkip, ON, and spend the night at his house. |
| June
24: |
Iain
and I hit up Paramount's Canada's
Wonderland and I make the trip back to
the cottage after we leave the park. |
So there you
have it! It looks like a nice little haul
ass trip to me. On Thursday, while at
Dorney Park, I will hopefully ride my one
hundredth rollercoaster. I am aiming for
it to be on Talon.
And that's all the updates for now.

Only three days
since my last update! I'm getting better
at this all I suppose. Well the weekend
was kick ass (as always when it involves going
home, a party, or Lisa). So yeah....umm,
okay! I guess the biggest news is that I
got the CPmobile
back and it's in top shape again. We're
talking everything from some interior cleaning,
to an oil change, to a tire rotation. Man
does she run good now! It's nice to have
the Jeep back
as I missed blowing all my money on the
gas-sucker. Didn't I say I would have
pictures of the damage? Look for them as
soon as I get my digital camera back.
What
else....hmmm. Oh! Well the party
seemed to be a huge success for all. Even
with everyone there (I hear it was close to
fifty maybe?) the place was hopping all
night. The food was good and the company
was even better. The house is really
looking good and I can't wait to see what the
outside will look like after it is
painted. Got to talk some with the TG and
it looks like I will be getting to hang with Mr.
Miears again soon. The last time I had the
pleasure to sit down with that man was one of
the most memorable conversations I have ever
had. I can only hope this one will go as
well. Look for a report I suppose.
Looking at the
clock, I suppose I should rest now. I'm
still wide awake and the last week of classes
starts in under seven hours. It's almost
done, though, and soon I will be on break.
It looks like the coaster trip is a go and that
is going to be some haul ass coaster action
going on there. I'll be able to add close
to thirty new rides to my track record, and
finally top one hundred. Yeah buddy!
Alright...I'm off to the yummy good land we call
sleep.

Tenth weekend already? Holy Jesus!
Looks like I
am heading home for the third weekend in a
row. Tomorrow is the the pig roast shindig
over at Angie and Ben's to celebrate his
graduation and their house warming. It
should provide for some quality family time and
I am looking forward to seeing everyone together
in one place again. Gonna take Lisa along
as there are a few family members left for her
to meet. I think she may be more excited
than me about going back to C-Land this weekend!
The past two
days have been nothing but a headache. Why
do teachers always find it best to hit up the
test action at the same time as all other
classes? Have a Phys test one day and a
Calc II the next isn't my idea of fun. Is
it yours? Yeah...see I didn't think it
was. So school sucks and I can't wait for
break to come already. I've got a nice
little 5-day coaster trip lined up and it should
be alllll good. I'll even been checking
out Iain's
pad and grounds towards the end. I'm
exicted.

I forgot to mention the highlight of today with
my massive update below. I rented The
Virgin Suicides on DVD today and partook in
another good movie. Quite a fascinating
storyline if you ask me. So many symbols
and implied things filled the movie from
beginning to end. I would give this a 8
out of 10 on my ratings scale.

Updates....yes, I
need to learn to do a better job with this
update thing. I suppose you can't blame me
too much as this is all new to me. So
hmm...there is so much to talk about that I
don't even know where to begin. The
weekend was definitely a good one, though.
Friday I
hauled ass out of school as soon as class was
done and made my way to Cedar Point for some
Coastermania action. The day proved good
as there was very little rain to speak of.
I hung out with some old coaster enthusiast
friends and met some new ones in the
process. The rides were good and I even
got one in with Janice Witherow, the head of the
PR department at the park. It's pretty
funny to watch someone in that position hold her
hands up on Millennium Force when the park
advocates that you "hold on at Cedar
Point."™
I spent
Saturday at home enjoying some time with the
family. I got some photos of the Jeep
before it went into the shop as well.
Supposedly the work will be done by Today and I
can get it back when I got home this
weekend. This is all good as attending
Coastermania without my CPmobile was a bummer.
And finally, Sunday
night I hit up the DMB
concert in Detroit. I have to say that
out of the six shows I have been to now, this
was the best one yet. Part of it was
because we had third row seats and that
always makes for a nice bonus. But I think
the setlist was what made the show as good as it
was. How can you go wrong with Boyd jammin'
out on LIOG and closing the set with Billies,
then doing Watchtower for a closer? It
takes a hell of a lot to get any better than
that. I'm just excited for the Chicago
show next month now!
