I forgot to mention that I was able to partake in the goodness that is Code Red for the first time this weekend.  I must say that I am already addicted to this stuff.  It tastes like a combination of Hawaiian Punch and Mountain Dew.  You should try it if you haven't already!

Back from long weekend and ready to update I guess.  So how was my four day break you might ask?  Well it started damn well, gained some suckage toward the middle, but ended up really well in the end.  My early mystery, super-secret, everyone knows but me birthday gift was revealed on Saturday and all I can say is WOW!  Lisa blindfolded me and drove all the way to Michigan's Adventure, where Rae, Mike, Matt, and Chris all showed up to add to the festivities.  We rode our hearts out on Saturday and ended up leaving early because Shivering Timbers had taken its toll on us.  But with that visit I now have a new #2 wooden roller coaster for my list.  What a haul ass day it was...you can read all about it in my trip report.

HYDROPLANING IS FUN

Well...okay, in a controlled environment it can be!  But how about when you are trying to execute a merge onto I-475 from I-23, just above Toledo.  As I started to round the curved bridge I watched a Ford Explorer attempt to stick its entire front end up the ass of a Honda Accord.  Needless to say it didn't work and the SUV caused a nice little accident.  I'm, of course, approaching just as this happens and so, in an attempt to avoid the situation, braked hard and turned to steer around the cars.  My Jeep didn't like that idea, though, and decided it would rather start some hydroplane action.  I got almost a whole revolution in before my back end hit the wall.  I corrected myself rather quickly and pulled over to examine the damage.  My bumper is crushed, my taillight cover is busted out, and the plastic molding is hanging by a screw (look for pictures soon).  So I rip the molding off, toss it in the back, and am on my way....not without stopping to see if they want any witnesses first, though.  I wasn't really shaken by it all as there was nothing I could do to help it and I admit that the spinning was fun :o)  So the car is at home getting some repair action as I type this.

I learned a little euchre action at the cottage and spent quality time with the family.  Monday was a nice break and Tuesday was spent driving back, with a side trip to Lisa's.  We hung out and watched High Fidelity... give it a six maybe.  And that was long weekend for me.

This whole daily update thing is something I need to get better adjusted to :o)  I apologize for the delay in updates, but work has been going on with the site in the meantime.  Most noticeably, the Pictures page is really starting to take shape now.  All that's left is to get some photos to put on the page.  Also, if you watched even one hour of Nickelodeon a week as a kid you need to check out this website.  Talk about a nostalgic trip back to your childhood!  God those were some good times.

Tonight consisted of a little bit of DVD action in the dorm room.  Beercheck came over and we went to hit up blockbuster.  The guy working the counter provided some good humor as we check out with a conversation that went like this:

ME:  I got laid off from a co-op job in Southfield.
HIM:  What's in Southfield?
ME:  The ghetto mostly.
HIM:  I'm sure it wasn't the ghetto.
ME:  Well it was pretty bad there.
HIM:  Son, we're in Flint.  THIS is the ghetto.  I grew up here and you don't get any worse than this.  It's the only thing we will ever get on a top ten list for.
ME:  Isn't this the second worse city in the country to live in?
HIM:  Correction...it's now the sixth.  We even lost the title of being able to say we were number two.  I hate Flint.

So we laughed and check out Antitrust.  Two hours later and some mad DVD action we finished a moderately good movie.  I give it maybe a 7 out of 10 I think.  I would definitely watch the movie again, although I am not ready to run out the door and buy my own copy.  So that was the big major highlight of the day.

I leave tomorrow for long weekend (woohoo!) and will be back to update on Tuesday.  Friday and Saturday will be spent at Lisa's, Sunday through Tuesday morning at the cottage with family, then a quick side trip to Cedar Point perhaps, and then back up here.  It all makes for a good weekend if you ask me!  And on top of that, Saturday I get my early mystery, super-secret, everyone knows but me birthday gift.  Can't wait!

I'm back from a long weekend and in need of updating the website I guess.  There was some Clockwork Orange going on down in the Unit 12 lounge that I just checked out.  Ten minutes was too much for me and I pulled a little slip away while no one is looking move.  So it's back to the hideout in Unit 41 for me, and a website update for you.

So today we had a little bit of tornado action going on at KU.  Around 2:45 we were called away to the tunnel for some hiding out as the Flint sirens were warning of tornados.  Sirens in Flint and they weren't coming from police vehicles...go figure!  So I got to spend a good half hour down there waiting the storm out.  Apparently one tornado touched down in Fenton and another right near the interchange between I-75 and I-69.

I spent the weekend hanging out at Lisa's and had a little bit of change of scenery going on.  Her house has the most kick ass yard I have ever witnessed...all ten acres or whatever she has there.  The stars were out in full effect at night as well...an added bonus.  Speaking of bonuses though, Lisa and I had the privilege...nay, the pleasure to see A Knights Tale on Friday.  It was one of the better movies I have seen in a long time and gains a 9 out of 10 from me.  That goes to say a lot as less than five movies have ever gained a 10 from me.

Stupid ass FrontPage decided to crash in the middle of writing my update for today.  Anyway, to make it short, I spent most of the morning with a migraine.  The headache action continued well into the afternoon and still persists even now.  I spent most of the afternoon working on the site.  More specifically, the coasters section received a lot of attention.

FrontPage just crashed again so the update shall end here.  It's time to open some restart action whoopass on Windows and show it who the boss is!

The website is really starting to come together I guess.  The front page is pretty much done, other than the updates of course.  Other than that I have to work on the links and get some photos online and such.  But I am excited about the applet I found to rotate that little image in the upper left corner.  You can try it out and see what I mean if you like.  Also, and this is important, I am switching screen names on Monday, the 21st.  My new name will be WoodenLegend.  The remote messenger on the left has already been updated accordingly.

I've been working on the website some more and added a few things here and there.  The trip to Stark Raven Mad was simply insane.  I'm working on some video clips and will post those online as soon as they are finished.  Otherwise, check out some nice photos I took the second day while at Six Flags St. Louis.  I think I will continue to work on the site here and there and hope to have it into some kind of good form sometime soon.

Okay...so I decided to work at this all a little more and I got the 'About Me' page up and running. I hope you all enjoy the photos I took just for that section. Jeff has politely informed me that tomorrow we both leave for Stark Raven Mad and I couldn't be any happier about that. Soon the SRM action will be in full effect and it will be all good. It's off to bed for me now as this whole website thing has me all tired and in need of the yummy yums my bed has to offer. I can hear it calling my name when I listen hard enough.

So this is the first official entry on Draegs Web. I've spent far too long reading other people's pages of this sort and telling myself that I should create my own little niche on the web. Soon I may find the motivation to fill this site with all sorts of odds and ends as I feel it necessary. Maybe with luck my site can catch on in popularity and gain some sort of cult following. Yeah...I'll keep dreaming about that one. Today sucked and not too much happened other than a little bit of physics lab action. Tomorrow I hit up my last two classes and then I blow this joint for the weekend. Stark Raven Mad calls me and soon I will be riding Legend and Raven like mad in the pitch black. So close yet so far away still.
